Great question Graig and so glad you posted to the community! This is totally anecdotal, but from my conversations lately, it seems like 5% increases seem to be the average during the last year, which were on top of slightly more modest increases in the year prior. That said, and even though the firms try to bucket out the fees for additional audit services, there seems to have been a lot of additional work during the last year (at least with the companies I've talked to) on acquisitions and other projects that are probably influencing that number as well.
