SOX Pro

SOX & Internal Controls Professionals Group

WHO WE ARE

The SOX & Internal Controls Professionals Group is dedicated to professionals who are actively involved with SOX, internal controls, and internal audit processes.

Founded in 2015 in coordination with the group’s national sponsor Workiva, the group consists of a diverse group of members, who are actively involved in documenting, evaluating, and testing internal controls and processes.

This group was created to foster networking among members, promote industry thought leadership, and provide unique opportunities for members to share best practices.

The SOX Executive Advisors provide leadership, guidance, and direction for our quarterly programs and annual SOX Summit.

Becoming a member is free, and applying only takes a few minutes. Membership is limited to in-house employees of companies focused on SOX, internal controls, and internal audit processes. Academics, auditors, consultants, recruiters, and vendors are not eligible for membership in the group.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS SUMMARY

The SOX & Internal Controls Professionals Group is a members-only, invitation-only group. The purpose of the community is to foster communication between members on matters of common professional interest.

Members enjoy access to a curated set of resources picked especially for SOX, internal control, and internal audit professionals. Content ranges from white papers and news articles to e-books from industry leaders and our sponsors.

Members often may be two or more internal audit and SOX professionals per company. We encourage the entire team to join.

There is no charge to join, participate, or receive CPE. Our national sponsor, Workiva, underwrites the cost of programs, events, and CPE.

Professional Connections

So that members may connect with each other outside of quarterly meetings, a confidential, password-protected membership directory has been created on a secure website:

STATE OF THE SOX/IC MARKET REPORT

Every year members participate in a survey focused on the state of SOX, internal controls, and internal audit processes, costs, challenges, and priorities.

Survey results are compiled in our annual report and published in September. This annual report examines the key findings of the survey data and aims to be a longitudinal resource, comparing trends from year-to-year.
