I've used both platforms but the last time I used Active Disclsoure was in 2018/2019 so it might be different now. I used it when the platform was mainly a word document, but now I think they have an online version that is more similar to Wdesk. Are there specific things that are you are looking for in the platform that you don't have now? There's so much that can be shared on this. I will say one thing, with Workiva, they are continually making upgrades to the capability of the software. They come out with new features all the time based on user feedback.

My company is in the process of reevaluating our SEC reporting software needs. We're currently using DFIN's ActiveDisclosure platform but are seriously considering a switch to Workiva. Would love to get some input from other SEC pros on their experience with Workiva in terms of functionality, customer support, etc.
