During our Q4 webinar, the ESG Pro Group invited @Grant Gregory (Boeing), Christine Cornellier (Target), and @Rachael Staab (The Hershey Company). During the panel discussion, we asked how they prepare for the upcoming ESG reporting cycle, what is left or is completed in the process, and what has changed based on their experience. Governance and teams - getting the right people involved, and early, is critical to the success of an ESG reporting process.

Organization - understanding regulatory requirements, stakeholder expectations, materiality/double materiality, reporting periods, and reporting/review timelines to make sure deadlines are met and disclosure covers required/expected topics or metrics.

Enhancing data and disclosure quality - bringing internal audit, along with financial reporting to help improve data and disclosure quality through internal control, internal assurance, and taking steps toward external/third party assurance before it’s required to be adequately prepared for eventual regulatory requirements.
ESG Pro Community Conversations:
We also wanted to provide a recap of our first-ever group discussion event! This event brought 40 members together to network, ask questions, and share tips & tricks within small groups. We did not record the conversations because we wanted to create a safe and trusted environment. I want to take an opportunity to announce that, in 2024 we would like to continue hosting this type of event. They almost always will occur a week after our webinars and once a quarter. Please keep your eyes peeled for future Community Conversations!
