Red Flag Mania
Wednesday, September 14, 9:30–11:30 a.m. PT
In-person only
2 CPE credits in Ethics

Gaining hands-on investigative experience can be difficult, and improving your professional skepticism abilities can be close to impossible. We read about these concepts and know that they are important, but how can we gain these skills? Here is your opportunity.

Welcome to Red Flag Mania, where the objective is to identify as many red flags as possible. In this interactive workshop, you will work in small investigative teams to solve a case using several forensic accounting techniques to determine the perpetrator. This segment will be facilitated by forensic accounting expert and award-winning documentary filmmaker, Dr. Kelly Richmond Pope, and experiential marketing expert Roni Jackson.

The story is real. The crime happened. You are the investigator.

During this session, you'll learn to:

  • Analyze the fraud triangle
  • Assess professional skepticism
  • Identify common judgement biases in decision-making
  • Interpret financial evidence
  • Compare and contrast deontological and telecological ethical frameworks
