My name is Sean Perera and I am the advisory chair of the Tampa Bay chapter. I am currently a Senior Vice President of Financial Reporting in the real estate industry. I have been in the real estate/accounting/audit industry for over 17 years.
I've been a member for almost 2 years. I heard about the SEC Pro Group through a colleague at work. I enjoy the opportunity to network with fellow SEC professionals in the local market, which allows me to grow and cultivate my professional network. As the chapter leader, I enjoy the feeling of responsibility to help my fellow local SEC professionals and grow the chapter.
The SEC Pro Group has enabled me to improve my public speaking skills and leadership skills while allowing me to stay up to date with new SEC rules and regulations.

- I am a green horn! I have a background in community management and data analytics. I'm trying my best to absorb as much as I can.
- K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple Stupid
- For my superpower, I would want to be like stretchy. If you have met me in person, I'm very tiny. It would be cool to stretch my body to make me taller so I don't look like the podium is eating me. It certainly would come in handy when I'm riding on a plane! My legs get really tired without support!
Extra credit! I have to pay the puppy tax. Introducing my sweet, precious angel, Arlo. He has horrible anxiety, but loves to go out and create a ruckus.
